Our School Resource Officer's primary assignment is at the Dyer County High School.

The School Resource Officer also responds to the needs at the Northview Middle School and Newbern Elementary School. Thus providing protection for all K-12 students. |

The School Resource Officer promotes a better understanding of our laws, why they were enacted and their benefits. They serve as a confidential source of counseling to students concerning problems they face. They bring expertise into schools that will help young people make more positive choices in their lives. |
| The School Resource Officer provides a visual and positive image for law enforcement. They also work to protect the school environment and to maintain an atmosphere where teachers feel safe to teach and students feel safe enough to learn. |
